Citation & Reuse
Cite it, share it, and build on it — but do not copy or republish EWRL work as your own or reproduce it wholesale.

Citation
Readers are encouraged to cite and reference Edged-Weapon Response Lab publications in research, reporting, teaching, presentations, policy work, and other materials. Where a publication provides a suggested citation, that citation should be used where practical.
Permitted use
EWRL publications may be read, downloaded, printed, shared, quoted, referenced, cited, and incorporated into other work with clear attribution to the Edged-Weapon Response Lab and, where practical, a link to the original publication. Reasonable excerpts, summaries, discussion of findings, and incorporation of EWRL analysis into original work are welcome.
What is not permitted
Attribution does not authorize wholesale reproduction or replication of EWRL material. EWRL publications, reports, explanatory materials, website content, structure, visual design, or substantial portions of them should not be copied, republished, mirrored, or presented in a form that substantially reproduces the original work.
Material must not be presented in a way that: - implies it was produced or endorsed by EWRL when it was not; - materially misrepresents EWRL findings or conclusions; or - reproduces EWRL content in place of creating an original work.
Data
EWRL datasets and underlying research data are governed separately and are not covered by this general reuse policy. Access, use, redistribution, and publication of data may be subject to additional safeguards and conditions.
Attribution
Where EWRL material is used, attribution should identify the Edged-Weapon Response Lab, the title of the publication or resource, and the original source where practical. I’d also add a short plain-language line at the top or bottom: In short: cite it, share it, and build on it — but do not copy or republish EWRL work as your own or reproduce it wholesale.
